MOVIE REVIEW: HAPPY GILMORE (Dennis Dugan, 1996)

Supposedly the funniest (and quintessential) film of the early Adam Sandler canon, but other than the iconic fistfight with Bob Barker (“The price is wrong, bitch!!), it just didn’t work for me. It actually made me miss his man-child routine.

MOVIE REVIEW: JACK AND JILL (Dennis Dugan, 2011)

I enjoy the occasional Adam Sandler comedy simply because it keeps me from being a total film snob. His movies may have the same formula, but one can expect a few good laughs here and there.

That couldn’t be said about this completely repulsive movie. It was Sandler as Tootsie and not in a funny way. You know one has run out of good material when a diarrhea joke served as the scene’s punchline.

Even more painful was the inclusion of The Al Pacino, whose Oscar should be revoked for being involved in this bottom of the barrel crapfest.
